Roman Gerasimov reports that recent reductions of GA exposures have more noise (even if the wavelength solutions are better; PIPE2D-1745). It appears to be coming from the Lanczos interpolation.
One way to track this down would be to replace the spectra with noise before coadding. This is a system we want for characterizing the data anyway.
